Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team with sterile setup, instrument handling, and counts. This part-time role offers a rotating shift, a mission-driven environment, and opportunities for growth with tuition reimbursement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Formal training as a Surgical Technologist.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of completion of program.
• High School Diploma required.
• CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days.
• 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.

Position Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a key role in the operating room, supporting surgeons and nurses in delivering exceptional care. You'll prepare sterile instruments, maintain a safe environment, and ensure everything is ready for successful procedures.
