Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the 12 Hour Evening Shift in the operating room. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and a pathway to advancement, with tuition reimbursement, comprehensive benefits from day one, and a strong team environment.

You will prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, and ensure counts are accurate, contributing to safe, efficient surgeries and patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited surgical tech training program.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of completion of program.
• High School Diploma.
• CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days.
• 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.
