Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare sterile instruments, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure readiness for procedures in the Mishawaka Medical Center OR.

The position offers an evening shift with a 12-hour schedule, a sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits. A completion of an accredited surgical tech program and NBSTA certification within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited surgical tech training program is required.
• NBSTA Certification must be obtained within 1 year of program completion.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgery.
• Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle specimens.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean OR post-procedure and prepare tools for sterilization.

• High School Diploma
• CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days
• 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred
