Job summary

Bon Secours Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the St. Francis Eastside location. The role supports the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring efficient case setup.

You will assist with pre- and post-procedure room cleaning, patient prep, and instrument management, contributing to a high standard of perioperative care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association is preferred.
• Certification such as CST, NBSTA, TS-C or NCCT is required; VT residents may have special requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Completes case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by the procedure.
