Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Perioperative Attendant to support surgical teams at St. Francis Eastside. You will help set up ORs, assist with patient positioning, and ensure supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.

You will work under RN guidance, with responsibilities including transport, sterile holds, and basic point-of-care testing as needed. BLS is preferred on hire; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care).
• One-year perioperative experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs daily setup of the surgical suites and room turnover between cases.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting and transfers.
• Restocks supplies and maintains anesthesia/daily use items.
• Sets up equipment and positioning devices for surgery; reports issues.
• Transports patients between departments as needed.
