Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for St. Mary’s Hospital. The role supports the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for operative procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic technique, preparing and organizing sterile supplies, assisting with pre/post procedure room setup, and helping with skin prep and clipping as needed. Eligible associates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• One year of perioperative or related surgical technology experience (preferred)
• Certification by CST/ NBSTA/ TS-C/ NCCT (required) or Virginia CST if residing in VA

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
