Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support the operating room team. The CST will scrub, assist the RN circulator, set up and break down procedures, and manage supplies and equipment to ensure efficient, sterile operations.

Tasks include maintaining sterility, preparing cases, and assisting in gowning, draping, and instrument handling. BLS is required; CST certification or extensive experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology (CST).
• CST certification verified via NBSTSA or 10+ years of experience in lieu of certification.
• BLS certification as required by ASC policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for use.
• Clean operating room between cases.
• Restock operating rooms as necessary to meet par levels.
• Assist other operating rooms for coverage.
• Prepare cases for the next day.
• May operate sterilizer, lights, suction machine, and other designated equipment.
• Maintain integrity of instruments and ensure proper counting of sponges, instruments, and sharps.
• Prepare and preserve specimens.
