Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for our Operating Room who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an Operating Room Certified Surgical Tech, you will assist the Surgical Team by passing instruments, preparing the OR with supplies, and sterilizing instruments. You will support surgeons during procedures and help maintain a safe, efficient environment in a faith-based hospital.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified.
• 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical Team in providing a safe, appropriate, and culturally aware patient care.
• Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies.
• Prepare the Operation Room with all the necessary supplies.
• Properly sterilize required instruments and supplies.
• Serve as surgical assistant as needed.
• Assist in order and restocking Operating Room supplies and instruments.
