Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for our Operating Room to support the surgical team with sterile technique, passing instruments, and maintaining a safe patient environment. The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program with CST certification; 1 year OR experience preferred.

Schedule is full-time, typical daytime hours, with on-call and weekend rotation as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and CST certified.
• 1 year hospital OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical Team in providing a safe, appropriate, and culturally aware patient care
• Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies
• Prepare the Operation Room with all the necessary supplies
• Properly sterilize required instruments and supplies
• Serve as surgical assistant as needed
• Assist in order and restocking Operating Room supplies and instruments
