Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician to join the on-site staff. The role involves scrubbing on diverse surgical procedures under RN supervision, maintaining sterile fields, and managing instruments and supplies efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in OR Technology (C-SA or C-ST) required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of OR Supervisor and RN, scrub tech provides surgical scrub for minor and major procedures.
• Sets up and maintains a sterile field for procedures.
• Applies knowledge of instruments, equipment, and supplies used in OR.
• Organizes instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and efficiency.
• Participates in rotational call system to ensure continuous patient services.
• Follows guidelines for sterile field setup and instrument handling.
• Re-stocks OR supplies as caseload permits.
• Alerts to errors and initiates corrective actions.
• Contributes to quality improvement processes.
