Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital seeks a Surgical Technologist to establish and maintain a sterile field, prepare equipment, and assist with surgical patient care under supervision. Reports to OR RN Supervisor and Director of Surgical Services. Competitive hourly range listed.

Requires high school diploma and completion of accredited surgical technology program; CPR certification and DORA registration preferred. Two years of surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent clinical training.
• Two years of surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify supplies, equipment and instruments are ready prior to surgery.
• Prepare operating room and sterile field for procedures.
• Assist with surgical patient care under RN/physician supervision.
• Maintain strict sterility and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Participate in timeout process before every procedure.
