Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for the Operating Room in Rockville, MD. You will support the surgical team, pass instruments, prepare the OR, ensure sterility, and assist as needed to maintain efficient procedures.

Employment is full-time with a day/evening shift, on-site operations, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a faith-based organization.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified.
• 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Surgical Team in safe, culturally aware patient care.
• Help surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
• Prepare the Operating Room with necessary supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and supplies.
• Serve as surgical assistant as needed.
• Assist in ordering and restocking OR supplies and instruments.
