Job summary

White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for our Operating Room to support safe, efficient patient care and assist surgeons with instruments and sterile supplies.

The position requires an accredited Surgical Technician program graduate with CST certification; TS-C is acceptable with 2 years of recent acute care experience. Full-time, evening shifts with on-call duties offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified.
  • 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required; TS-C acceptable with 2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Surgical Team to provide safe, culturally aware patient care.
  • Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during procedures.
  • Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Sterilize instruments and supplies according to protocol.
  • Serve as surgical assistant as needed and restock OR supplies.

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for our Operating Room who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

As a Operating Room Certified Surgical Tech, you will:

  • Assists the Surgical Team in providing a safe, appropriate, and culturally aware patient care
  • Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies
  • Prepare the Operation Room with all the necessary supplies
  • Properly sterilize required instruments and supplies
  • Serve as surgical assistant as needed
  • Assist in order and restocking Operating Room supplies and instruments
Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • High school or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified
  • 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) acceptable with 2 years of recent relevant experience in an acute care hospital

Pay and Classification

Pay Range: $29.08 - $42.17
