Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for our Operating Room who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an Operating Room Certified Surgical Tech, you will pass instruments, sterilize supplies, and assist surgeons during procedures while preparing the OR for daily cases and maintaining supply levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and certified.
• 1 year hospital Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) acceptable with 2 years of recent relevant experience in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgical Team in providing safe, culturally aware patient care.
• Help surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
• Prepare the Operating Room with necessary supplies.
• Sterilize required instruments and supplies.
• Serve as surgical assistant as needed.
• Assist in ordering and restocking OR supplies and instruments.
