Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER is seeking an Operating Room Technician to perform duties in the OR, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency of services, and providing patient care from neonate to geriatric. You will orient staff to equipment and procedures and serve as a role model for OR technicians and students.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST certification, and current or pending BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Shift: Variable Shifts; 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
