Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will help prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, and assist with patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining OR cleanliness, orienting staff to equipment, and serving as a role model for students while upholding the system's mission and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
