Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER is seeking an Operating Room Technician to support the surgical team in a fast-paced environment. You will help with room setup, sterile techniques, and patient care across age ranges from neonates to geriatrics.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and strong teamwork to maintain high standards of patient safety and efficiency in the OR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs various duties in the operating room.

• Performs limited neonatal through geriatric patient care services.
• Orients employees to equipment and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
