Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio seeks a Surgical Technologist to support operating room functions and patient care. The role includes maintaining OR cleanliness, assisting with a broad patient age range, and orienting staff to equipment and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• CST certification from NBSTSA required.
• Current AHA BLS certification or within 90 days of hire.

Shift: Variable Shifts; 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a

• Performs various duties in the operating room.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
