Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in a busy Level One Trauma Center. The role includes routine instrument handling, room preparation, and patient care from neonates to geriatrics, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited Surgical Technology diploma, NBSTSA CST certification, and BLS within 90 days of hire, and will demonstrate strong teamwork in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains CST certification from NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtainable within 90 days.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
