Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will help ensure sterile technique, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean, efficient OR environment.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST credential, and BLS certification (or within 90 days of hire). The role supports diverse patient care across age groups in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Shift: Variable Shifts; 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a

Position Summary:

• Performs various duties in the operating room.
• Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services.
• Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services.
• Orients employees to equipment and procedures.
• Serves as a role model to other operation room technicians and students.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
