Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital in Pierre, SD is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team under the supervision of the Surgeon. You will assist with instrument setup, aseptic technique, and instrument counts to help ensure patient safety.

We offer a day shift (6:30am-3:00pm), potential sign-on bonus up to $15,000, and PTO from day one. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program and CST/TS-C certification.

Qualifications

• Technical Certificate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certifications CST or TS-C upon hire as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon within the scope of competency and standards of practice.
• Maintains aseptic technique throughout the intraoperative period.
• Washes and sterilizes equipment and keeps the operating room clean.
• Prepares and updates preference cards for procedures.
• Performs sponge, needle and instrument counts per policy.
