Avera Queen of Peace is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team. You will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, and prepare and sterilize instruments across operating rooms, ER, and clinics.

The role requires a CST or TS-C credential upon hire and involves day hours with on-call requirements. With competitive pay and a potential sign-on bonus up to $15,000, you will work in a multidisciplinary environment focused on moving health forward for our patients and

Competenze

• Technical certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
• Certifications CST and TS-C must be obtained upon hire.

Mansioni

• Assists surgeon within the scope of competency and standards of practice.
• Maintains infection control and universal precautions.
• Washes and sterilizes equipment and maintains a clean operating room.
• Rotates in SPD area cleaning & sterilizing instruments for OR, ER, & clinics.
• Updates preference cards for procedures and surgeon requests.
• Verifies patient identity and operative details; ensures aseptic technique.
• Performs counts of sponges, needles, and instruments per policy.
• Evaluates new supplies, equipment, and/or instruments.
• Places equipment in OR and arranges instruments per instructions.

Technical Certificate Graduate from an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program
