Job summary

WestCare Foundation is seeking a qualified counselor at Sheridan Correctional Center to deliver clinical substance abuse treatment. The role includes assessments, treatment planning, and daily group education focused on therapeutic communities and relapse prevention.

Requirements include clinical licensure or CADC where applicable, 2+ years of counseling experience, and strong organizational and confidentiality skills. Some positions may require bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• Clinical certification or licensure per state requirements.
• Masters or bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Two years of experience providing alcohol and substance abuse counseling.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessment of each client with required tools.
• Develop a service plan with client input and treatment goals.
• Provide daily treatment and education groups on TC concepts.
• Maintain confidential client records per agency policy.
• Submit weekly client data to the WestCare database.
