Job summary

AdventHealth in Louisville, CO is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure aseptic packaging, verify sterility indicators, and operate complex sterilization equipment for clinical use. You will maintain logs, review charts, and document all requirements in appropriate systems. Required CRCST and CSPDT certifications; BLS preferred.

High School Grad or Equ and Technical/Vocational training are preferred. 1+ related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English effectively and read/write with clarity.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedural language.

Responsibilities

• Selects materials and packaging for aseptic technique.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all sets.
• Operates sterilization equipment and selects proper method per instructions.
• Reviews sterilizer recording charts and verifies parameters before release.
• Monitors printouts, maintains records, and documents in logs/computer systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
• Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems.
