Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, Colorado is hiring a Full-time Sterilization Technician for day shifts. You will select materials and wrap instrument sets for aseptic processing, verify sterility indicators, and operate sterilization equipment.

The role requires attention to sterility, documentation, and adherence to procedures. Candidates should have a High School diploma (tech/vocational preferred) and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization per manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before release.
• Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents requirements in logs or computer systems.
