Job summary

AdventHealth in Louisville, CO is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure aseptic packaging and accurate sterilization workflows for patient care. You will handle instrument sets, monitor indicators, and maintain meticulous records in compliant systems.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• Technical/Vocational School is preferred.
• Field of Study: healthcare sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
• Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems.
