Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, sterilize and store surgical instruments. Nights shift, 3 nights per week with rotating weekends. You will perform QA testing, sterilization procedures and maintain safety and hygiene standards.

Prerequisites include a High School Diploma and HSPA/CBSPD CRCST/CSPDT/CSPM/CSPDM certifications, plus the ability to work calmly under pressure in a hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Certifications from HSPA/CBSPD such as CSPDT/CSPDM/CSPM or CRCST (preferred).
• Experience in sterile processing and instrument sterilization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents quality assurance testing and inspections.
• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods.
• Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
