Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and equipment. The shift is Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm with weekends, on-call and holiday rotations.

Candidates should have SPD experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications such as CSPDT, CRCST, CSPDM among others. One year of related experience is required, and certification in Sterile Processing associations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience.
• SPD experience required.
• Certifications listed in Education & Certifications are required/beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
• Properly disposes of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
