Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing, customer service, and inventory management. You will enter prescriptions, verify drug details, and support patient care at the point of sale.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification (except PR), at least 1 year of retail or hospital tech experience, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends. Immunization certification within 90 days is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems; check for interactions.
• Assist in scheduling and maintaining workflow; support inventory management.
• Handle cash transactions and assist customers at point of sale.
• Support pharmacists in clerical duties and claims processing for third-party prescriptions.
• Participate in clinical services as needed and coordinate with healthcare providers.
