Job summary

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist CRT. You will administer respiratory care, monitor ventilated patients, and perform ABGs and pulmonary function tests as ordered by physicians.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• NBRC-CRT Certified Respiratory Therapist credential.
• RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential.
• High School/GED or Vocational School diploma.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanically ventilated patients.
• Administers respiratory care treatments and monitors patient progress.
• Performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis with prompt communication of critical values.
• Performs pulmonary function tests and documents results accurately.
• Records and reports respiratory care interventions in patient records.
