Mercyhealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in preparing, labeling and dispensing medications while ensuring accuracy and patient safety. You will resolve insurance denials, manage inventory and cash funds, and maintain dispensing records in a full-time role with a variable shift.

Responsibilities include processing charges, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a pharmacy technician program preferred.
• Minimum one year of retail pharmacy experience is required.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoots all insurance/Rx denials.
• Maintains petty cash and change fund balances.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles/blister packs with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles/blister packs.
• Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer or hospital patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer.
• Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.
