Job summary

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE Health, is seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician in Hudson, OH. Responsibilities include data entry, filling prescriptions, maintaining inventory, resolving third party issues, and coordinating interdepartmental patient care.

The role requires Pharmacy Technician Certification, willingness to become certified within 6 months, excellent telecommunication and customer service, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally recognized agency.
• Willing to hire Registered Technicians with plans to become Certified within 6 months.
• Ability to work in a rapidly growing and fast paced environment.
• Excellent telecommunication skills and superb customer service.
• Proficient word processing abilities and computer/system navigation.
• Prior PioneerRx experience will be extremely beneficial.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of new and refill prescriptions.
• Filling of new and refill prescriptions.
• Maintain sufficient and accurate inventory.
• Resolve third party issues with payers and providers.
• Phone calls to assist with business associates, patients, and providers needs and/or relays information to administrative support staff to complete calls as needed.
• Coordinate vast interdepartmental patient care and service.
• Participate and contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance improvement meetings.
• Assist Compliance Department to ensure pharmacy operations and personnel are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
