Job summary

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE Health, seeks a Pharmacy Support Representative in Hudson, OH. You will handle incoming calls, data entry, and insurance information while supporting pharmacy administrative tasks.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service, strong computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Training and development are provided in a caring, growth-oriented culture.

• Hours of operation are 8:15am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
• Ongoing training and development

Responsibilities for the Pharmacy Support Representative:

• Reception of incoming calls and placement of outbound calls,routing to the appropriate individual, if needed.
• Administrative responsibilities associated with the practice of the pharmacy.
• Obtain and data entry of insurance, physician, and patientdemographic information.
• Processing third-party billing information for reimbursement
• Work collaboratively with all other departments; including accounting, contracts & licensing, shipping, etc.
• Filing and other general office tasks.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and computer skills with the desire to communicate with customers and prospects a majority of each workday.
• Effective at retaining and disseminating health insurance plan information.
• Ideally 1-2 years of experience in a customer service position.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment.
• Word processing skill of 40 WPM.
• Knowledge of PioneerRx helpful.
• Pharmacy experience helpful but not necessary.
• Light lifting of up to 25 pounds.
