Job summary

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE Health, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join its Hudson, OH operation. You will handle data entry and prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced mail-order setting, ensuring accuracy and patient care.

Requirements include Pharmacy Technician Certification (or plans to obtain within 6 months), strong communication skills, and experience with PioneerRx. This on-site role offers weekday hours with no weekends, nights, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification required; must become certified within 6 months if not already.

• Excellent telecommunication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of new and refill prescriptions.
• Filling of new and refill prescriptions.
• Maintain inventory levels and accuracy.
• Resolve third party payer issues.
• Phone support for associates, patients and providers.
• Coordinate interdepartmental patient care and service.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly improvement meetings.
• Assist Compliance with SOPs.

Responsibilities for the Pharmacy Technician

• Data entry of new and refill prescriptions
• Filling of new and refill prescriptions
• Maintain sufficient and accurate inventory
• Resolve third party issues with payers and providers
• Phone calls to assist with business associates, patients, and providers needs and/or relays information to administrative support staff to complete calls as needed
• Coordinate vast interdepartmental patient care and service
• Participate and contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance improvement meetings
• Assist Compliance Department to ensure pharmacy operations and personnel are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Key Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally recognized agency. Willing to hire Registered Technicians with plans to become Certified within 6 months.
• Ability to work in a rapidly growing and fast paced environment
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent telecommunication skills and superb customer service
• Proficient word processing abilities as well as computer/system navigation
• Prior PioneerRx experience will be extremely beneficial
• High School diploma or equivalent
