Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician II-Certified to join the Mint Hill Medical Center hospital pharmacy team. This role supports optimal medication management across care dimensions with flexibility for 1st or 2nd shift.

The technician will perform dispensing tasks, sterile/non-sterile compounding, and coordinate with pharmacists to assure safe, timely medication delivery. Eligibility requires state registration and PTCB/NHA certification in due time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 year/associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Filling and delivering medication orders for all age groups under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding and repackaging, including hazardous compounding.
• Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
• Processing cart fills, refills to automated dispensing machines and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
• Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
• Collecting medication histories from patients and/or compounding sterile admixtures.
