Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification from the PTCB is required.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education supersedes this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and prepares medications under supervision, including sterile and hazardous meds.
• Delivers or exchanges medications to patient areas and handles returns.
• Documents dispensing activities using automated and paper systems; ensures data accuracy.
• Responds to customer requests for pharmacy services and drug information.
• Operates automated dispensing technology to supply medications per orders.
