Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in drug preparation, storage, distribution and inventory management under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role requires responsible handling of medication orders, accurate labeling, and effective communication with nursing staff, physicians and patients to ensure safe, high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician - board registration must be active within 30 days
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - NHA or PTCB upon hire
• High School diploma or GED preferred

Responsabilités

• Under pharmacist supervision, inputs and prepares labels and packages inpatient or outpatient medication orders.
• Communicates with nursing staff, physicians, customers, and colleagues to promote safe patient care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, calculations, regulations, and patient safety.
