Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to assist in drug preparation, storage, distribution, and inventory management under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will input and prepare medication orders, communicate with nurses and physicians, support accuracy and safety, participate in inspections and inventory, and help ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with active state registration.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status required at hire.
• Knowledge of compounding practices and patient safety.

Responsabilités

• Under pharmacist supervision, input and prepare labels for inpatient or outpatient orders.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and customers to ensure accurate delivery.
• Maintain medication inventory and perform clerical duties for efficiency.
• Assist with record collection and compliance with accreditation standards.
• May assist customers on the phone or in person and run reports.
• Conduct monthly inspections of medication stocks and support inventory control.
• Proficiency in compounding practices as applicable.
