Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City, AZ is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to float across units, providing routine patient care and supporting the care team. You will receive onboarding assistance and operate within a high-reliability organization while delivering compassionate service.

Part-time and full-time shifts are available with day and night hours; weekend coverage applies. Banner offers a comprehensive benefits package and development opportunities within a large health system.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required for new hires.
Current BLS certification required.
Arizona CNA licensure preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience with medical terminology and basic clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living and support mobility and nutrition.
Collect vital signs and basic data; document in the medical record.
Report abnormalities to licensed staff and communicate patient status for continuity of care.
Perform procedures within scope of practice and assist medical staff during unit procedures.
Handle receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
Maintain complete patient records and ensure chart forms and reports are accessible.
Maintain supplies and assist with ordering, inventories, and equipment tracking.
Support patient transport and OR room turnover as assigned.
Work under supervision in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
