Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and active CNA licensure.
• One year of medical clerical experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
• Preferred candidates have healthcare experience and unit secretary training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort.
• Collect vital signs and basic patient data per policy.
• Report health status changes to licensed staff promptly.
• Assist with procedures and use department equipment as directed.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting; ensure forms are filed.
• Monitor supplies and equipment, coordinate with supply chain.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover as needed.
• Interact with staff, patients, families, and physicians professionally.
