Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current BLS certification
• Current CNA in state of practice in Tucson, AZ
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and keyboarding skills
• Ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or eligibility may be required for certain Banner Health locations

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and participate in the overall patient plan of care
• Collect patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and chart in the EMR
• Document patient status accurately and communicate changes to licensed staff
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic hygiene
• Transport specimens and assist in room turnover and procedures
• Maintain supplies and equipment and support unit operations
• Assist with pre/postoperative patient transport when needed
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department workflow
