Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Float Pool at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. You will float to multiple units including Trauma Surgical ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, and more to assist with routine patient care and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a current CNA/LNA license, has recent acute care experience, and works well in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and nursing support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current BLS certification is required
• Current CNA/LNA in state of practice
• 1 year medical clerical experience preferred in hospital/clinical setting
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new units

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility needs.
• Document patient data including vital signs and intake/output.
• Report abnormalities to licensed staff and ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with procedures and use equipment under supervision.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain and file patient records, ensure chart forms are accessible.
