Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered OT services across age groups. You will implement therapy plans, collaborate with the care team, and educate patients and families while maintaining thorough documentation.

Requires an OTA license (IDFPR) and BLS; continuing education is expected. This role may qualify for a sign-on bonus and requires a dedicated, collaborative approach within our Illinois system.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) per IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days - AHA.
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Follow the therapist's plan of care and adjust treatment based on patient response with communication to the evaluating therapist.
• Implement patient-centered, occupation-based interventions; adapt activities to patient needs and environment.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and care team throughout the OT process.
• Educate patients, families, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation supporting clinical decisions and payer needs.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and ensure safe, high-quality service delivery.
