Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance is required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the relevant state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education related to acute stroke patient care.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered intervention plans and adapts activities to patient needs and environment.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and health care team throughout rehabilitation.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Produces clear and accurate documentation to support decisions for payers and care.
• Participates in activities addressing quality of service delivery.
