Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to treat patients of all ages and serve as a clinical resource for staff and students at our Spokane, WA location. In this role you will implement patient-centered, occupation-based interventions, perform ROM measurements, train patients on ADLs, and document progress clearly in the EMR while collaborating with the OT and care team.

Excellent communication with patients, families, and providers is essential, as is adapting care

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and communicates with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions adjusted by patient response.
• Documents communication and progress in the daily note.
• Provides ROM measurements of the elbow, wrist, and hand.
• Provides training to patients on ADLs including dressing and cooking skills.
• Completes ultrasound and fluidotherapy treatments.
• Maintains daily documentation and therapy EMR charging.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and care team throughout the OT process.
