Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications with evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions adapting to patient response.
• Educates patients, families, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Completes ROM measurements of elbow, wrist, and hand and performs ADL training.
• Documents therapy notes daily and communicates progress to referring providers.
• Collaborates with the occupational therapist and other team members throughout the OT process.
