Qualifications

• Reads and comprehends perioperative information; basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of surgical sites.
• Passes instruments on all procedures or acts as an assistant and holds retractors as needed.
• Practices aseptic technique.
• Assist in preparation of room prior to surgery and cleaning room after surgery.
• Assists staff and surgeons to insure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available when needed for surgical procedures.
• Two years of OR experience as a scrub tech; may work in instrument room as needed.
