Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility, is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team at the Denison campus. The role requires knowledge of perioperative procedures, aseptic technique and the ability to pass instruments during surgeries.

Eligible candidates will have a CST/TS-C, or be LVN with prior surgical technologist experience, and must complete the BLS Healthcare Provider course during orientation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program (CST or TS-C) or proof of prior employment as a surgical technologist before Sept 1, 2009.

Responsibilities

• Passes instruments during procedures and assists surgeons and staff.
• Prepares operating room and cleans room after surgery.
• Ensures instruments, supplies and equipment are available when needed for procedures.
