Job summary

Flagstar Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team serving skilled nursing facilities in NYC and Long Island. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and educate patients and families to improve function and cognitive skills.

We offer Direct Employment or Independent Contractor options. Hourly pay ranges from $34 to $40, depending on employment type, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Current NYS OTA License and Registration.
• EMR competence.
• State required medical documentation for work in a SNF (Physical, TB test, MMRV/vaccine records or titers, Covid vaccination).
• Valid proof of identity and work authorization.
• Malpractice/liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with OT Supervisor and follow established Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in a SNF setting with diverse diagnoses.
• Monitor and document patient progress using EMR software.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Skilled Nursing Facility

Now Staffing Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for Rehab Departments throughout NYC and Long Island.

Flagstar Rehab COTAs work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform treatments and patient/family education to improve the physicality and cognition of their patients and positively impact their ability to function in their daily lives.

Flagstar Rehab offers the opportunity for Direct Employment with our agency or to Be Your Own Boss as an Independent Contractor. We can assist you with setting up a corporation free of charge.

Hourly Pay Rate: $34-$36 Hourly (W-2), $38-$40 Hourly (1099)

Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Duties:

• Collaborate daily with OT Supervisor and follow established Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in a SNF setting, who require care related to TBI, CVA, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnosis.
• Monitor and document patient progress with the use of innovative EMR software.
