Job summary

Flagstar Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support skilled nursing facilities across NYC and Long Island with patient care and education. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement plan of care and improve patient function.

The role offers various scheduling options (FT/PT/Per Diem) and weekly pay, with opportunities for direct employment or independent contractor status. NYS OTA license required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NYS OTA license and registration.
• Proficient with EMR software for patient progress notes.
• Ability to complete state-mrequired medical documentation for SNF settings.
• Valid identification and work authorization.
• Malpractice/liability insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with OT Supervisor and follow Plan of Care for all patients.
• Provide quality therapy services to SNF patients with conditions like TBI, CVA, Parkinson’s, MS, cancer, orthopedic surgery.
• Monitor and document patient progress using EMR software.

Now Staffing Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for Rehab Departments throughout NYC and Long Island.

COTAs work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform treatments and patient/family education to improve the physicality and cognition of their patients and positively impact their ability to function in their daily lives.

Hourly Pay Rate: $34-$36 Hourly (W-2), $38-$40 Hourly (1099)

Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Duties:

• Collaborate daily with OT Supervisor and follow established Plan of Care for all patients.


• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in a SNF setting, who require care related to TBI, CVA, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnosis.


• Monitor and document patient progress with the use of innovative EMR software.
